Camp Financial is based in Gray, next door to Windham and under half an hour from Portland. It's just me, and you work with me directly every month.

What "local" means in practice

Most of the work happens in your accounting software, over email and text, and on a monthly check-in call of up to 30 minutes. That's how I work with clients all over the country, and it works just as well when you're down the road.

If you're within a reasonable drive of Gray, we can also meet in person. Depending on the plan we agree on, that can include a quarterly in-person review of your numbers.

Who I work with

I work with small businesses, from one-person shops to small teams. That includes contractors and trades that need job costing, retail and handmade businesses that sell in more than one place, and service businesses that just want clean books.

Many Maine businesses have a busy season and a slow one. A monthly cash flow statement shows what the slow months really cost, so busy-season money doesn't get mistaken for profit.

What it costs

Monthly bookkeeping starts at $350 a month, as one flat fee. Your first 15-minute call is free, and I reply within one business day. If your books are behind or wrong, I can catch them up or clean them up first.

Taxes stay with your CPA

I'm a bookkeeper, not a CPA. I don't prepare tax returns or give tax advice, for the IRS or for Maine Revenue Services. I do put together a clean year-end package for your tax preparer, and I work with them directly.
